ECONOMICAL WAY TO CLEAN YOUR BRUSHES

I already spend a lot of money on beauty products and so i hate spending money on cleaning agents. Ya, i know one has to be hygenic and has to make sure that the brushes are clean all the time. So i follow this inexpensive method of cleaning my makeup brushes.

Things you will need:- A plate, a good antibacterial hand wash(i use life buoy) and olive oil

The handwash with the antibacterial agents will kill the germs and the olive oil will help to keep the makeup brushes soft and will condition them

See? my makeup brushes do need a wash straight away!

Mix the handwash and olive oil in a plate

First, wet the brush and then swirl it through the mixture till all the dirt comes out.

See all the dirt????

wash it under water. Now my brushes are super clean

Now just keep them somewhere safe so that they can become dry

Hope u all enjoyed the post. C ya......

great post! Olive oil works the best for oil based makeup such as lipsticks and cream blushes!xoxo

@tanveer:-rather than shampoo as i said try something tat has antibacterial property in it. will kill the germs!

@beautifier:- ya i know. this technique is mostly used by oil painters. But it works wonders on makeup brushes too. :)

Hi! I was in search of a beauty related indian blog when I found yours! Woohoo! I clean my brushes tat way too (when I have the time to spare)
Btw, I see that your brushes are facing up...hmm, from experience, this is not the way to dry em as the water can travel to the funnule of the brush hence making the brush susceptible to shed more as the glue that holds it 'melts'. It is best to dry them on an angle in which the brush faces down. Hope it helps.

hi jazz thanks for the tip. i actually do dry them at an angle and use a brush guard but i just wanted to take a pic to put in the blog without all the fuss. anyway thanks for the comment and welcome to my blog. hope u liked it.

Hey, just a little tip when you're leaving them out to dry.

Don't stand them up because any water left on the hairs will travel down and loosen the glue that holds them together. It's best to leave them flat on their side to dry.
