I AM BACK!!!

Heyyyyy its absolutely great to be back and me and hubby needed the break soooooo much. Am dead tired, tanned like crazy, my hair is a mess, got conjunctivitis(pink eye) on the trip, gained 4 kgs atleast(we both were gobbling up anything & everything we hadn't tried before) and  living out of a suitcase is tiring like hell.......but I sure have to say......the travelling experience was priceless! Wouldn't trade it for the world! Thanks to all who left me beautiful messages....u guys rock!

After our initial trip, I had to be back in delhi for a few more days ....called up Anamika and asked her the address for Forever 21 shop. Will do a post about the shop. It was wonderful shopping there :). To be honest...i didn't haul anything much...'coz personally I felt most of the stuff I get here in Mumbai itself....so what is the point?????

We had to be at Dehradun for his friend's wedding and we had a blast 'coz I was dancing with the "Baarat"(the wedding procession) for the first time and now I can't move my body lol. But we also ended up visiting nearby plazes like Haridwar(It was amazing to be there and be surrounded by some much needed spirituality) and also Mussoorie, which is a hill station. Am attaching some pics below. Hope u guys enjoy :)

There you can see my rt eye all swollen and it was paining like hell (I developed a mild cold too)...but thankfully I identified the condition early itself and started putting drops for the same and was cured within 3 days but those days were hell!!! Poor hubby also had to put the eye drops as precaution as I did not want him to suffer

There You can see the Holy Ganga flowing. The water is ice cold all the time and its an elevating experience spiritually to be on the banks of Ganga....

The pundits doing Aarti / pooja on "har ki paudi" (har= lord shiva, ki=of , paudi=foot steps, read it as Lord Shiva's Foot steps)

The priests perform Aarti on the river banks and thousands of people come from different parts of the country to take part in the aarti and also to set lights and it is allowed to drift in the water after praying for everyone in one's family. Its such an amazing thing to see.....

Har ki Paudi where people come to take a dip in the Holy Ganga and its believed that all your sins are washed away once you take a bath here......

A big statue of Lord Shiva.......

A small video to show how the bank gets all lit up during night time. Its such a wonderful sight......

After our visit to Haridwar we set off to Mussorie, the hill station and it was simply amazing!!!!

The lush greenery on our way to mussoorie

The Lays tat we bought from Haridwar got all puffed up and became "macho" once we reached mussoorie 'coz of the pressure difference LOL.

Kempty water falls at Mussoorie. You can reach there by rope way or by walking....we took the rope way ..it was nice

A view from the hill station in the nite time

Bloody sorry "virgin mary" tat I had and we had an amazing dinner at a hotel called Imperial......

As you can see my eye has not yet cleared up and I know I look sick in this pic without even a kajal....

Pic I like the most...next day morn and it felt great to wake up, the cold wind was blowing and the view from our hotel was breath taking.
